The Shift: From Feeling Powerless to Living On Purpose
This month, I want to guide our community into a deeper understanding—that feeling powerless can be transformed into purposeful living.
I grew up in a world where power seemed to belong to others. As a young girl, I was told—both directly and indirectly—that my voice didn’t matter, that my dreams were too big, and that I should stay small. As a woman, I encountered a culture that reinforced those messages, a society that dismissed feminine wisdom and strength. For years, I carried the weight of powerlessness, believing I had little influence over my life or the direction of my future.
But the truth is—we are never powerless. We live in an unlimited and infinite universe. Encoded deep within each of us is an unshakable well of strength, vision, and purpose waiting to be remembered. When we begin to reclaim that inner knowing, we shift from living under the weight of limitation to standing in the light of our own purpose.
When we are not attuned to our purpose, life can feel chaotic and overwhelming. Without a clear anchor, it’s easy to feel out of control—like we are constantly reacting to circumstances instead of consciously creating our path. This disconnection often breeds helplessness, leaving us believing that external forces dictate our reality. Yet, purpose acts like a compass: when we align with it, the noise quiets, clarity returns, and we remember that we are powerful co-creators of our lives.
Here are three powerful areas you can lean into right now to move from powerlessness to purpose:
1. Own Your Choices
Powerlessness often hides behind indecision or letting others choose for us. Reclaiming your agency is the first step.

- Tip 1: Start small—choose one thing each day that’s purely for you (what you’ll eat, wear, or create).
- Tip 2: When facing a decision, pause and ask, “Does this move me closer to or further from who I want to be?”
- Tip 3: Write down a past choice you’re proud of. Remind yourself—you’ve made good decisions before, and you will again.
2. Redefine Your Worth
Powerlessness often stems from forgetting your inherent value.
- Tip 1: Write down three qualities you love about yourself every night before bed.
- Tip 2: Challenge old stories by replacing them with truths—for example, instead of “I’m not enough,” declare “I am more than enough.”
- Tip 3: Surround yourself with people who uplift and affirm your worth rather than those who diminish it.
3. Align With Purpose

Living on purpose transforms powerlessness into possibility.
- Tip 1: Ask yourself, “What lights me up?” and commit to doing at least one of those things every week.
- Tip 2: Identify a small way you can use your gifts to serve others—purpose grows in service.
- Tip 3: Create a vision board or list that reminds you daily of your “why.” Purpose expands when you keep it in front of you.
Reflective Exercise

Take a few moments today with your journal and reflect on these questions:
- Where in my life am I still giving away my power?
- What choice, however small, can I make this week that aligns with my deepest truth?
- If I fully embraced my worth and purpose, how would my life look and feel different?
Write freely, without judgment. Let your heart answer, not your head.
Own Your Power

You were never meant to live small, silent, or powerless. The shift begins the moment you say yes to yourself—your choices, your worth, your purpose. Step into it with courage, because the world doesn’t just need you present—it needs you powerful, purposeful, and alive in your fullest light.
